Dream Through A Leaf marks Greg Merritt's return to music after a long time away. The CD contains an eclectic mix of songs written and performed on acoustic guitar, and then set to a full rock arrangement. The result ranges from upbeat earthy folk to groovy psychedelic funk to even heavy rock.

Work on Dream Through A Leaf actually began in 2000 immediately after the breakup of Good Friend. Being that it was yet another self funded project (this time with no band members around to chip in!) it took several years to bring to completion. But by the time it was completed the realities of life and raising a family got in the way, and the record sat on the shelf.

Fast forward to 2007 and the phenomenon of BuzzUniverse. Starting in February 2007 BuzzU charted in the top 20 on the jambands.com radio chart and as of February 2008 they're still there!

Inspired by the tremendous success if his friends Dave and Alex, Greg decided to get back into music in a big way. The first logical step was searching for bands and musicians currently in the jam scene.

The other logical thing to do was to take care of the unfinished business of releasing Dream Through A Leaf. The official release date is expected to be late winter 2008.

But don't expect this to be the end. With years worth of new songs and ideas, along with a stellar group of jam players he has met over the last 6 months, Greg Merritt is looking to his musical future with tremendous optimism.
