David Avery- Prez
Before founding Powderfinger 14 years ago, David grew up with strong gospel & rock surroundings in a musical family. He earned a B.A. in music, did a year of music and philosophy studies at the University of Lancaster in England, got himself a M.M. in musicology from New England Conservatory, and spent two years in doctoral studies at CUNY before realizing that musicology types have no Elvis in their Pelvis…so he split. He was also a DJ for four years, engaged in artist management for two years, was Assistant Music Editor at Schwann Publications for two years, and AAA Columnist for CMJ New Music Report for over four years.

Maria DeFelice- Head of Publicity
Maria DeFelice was born in Buffalo, NY and then moved to Houston, TX, which she left at the age of 18 to fulfill her destiny in Boston. Unfortunately, destiny has yet to reveal itself but she knows it's around here somewhere. Maria completed a degree in Philosophy and Religion at Boston University when she wasn’t busy going to shows. Maria soon found herself co-managing, promoting, merchandising and calling general attention to the local band Baby Strange. Maria has real-life, hands-on experience with managing, marketing, and organizing the promotion of bands.

Brian Packer- Head of College Radio
Brian is a 2006 Graduate of the Berklee College of Music where he studied Music Business/Management and Guitar Performance. He is a music industry enthusist who loves almost all styles of music and loves to talk about new records. As well as his side gig recording and producing records, he can also be seen playing guitar around town with various projects such as Chad Perrone, Fly Upright Kite, Alison Wood, Brian Bergeron, Parkview and Kate Klim. He is a native Massachusettes boy who loves the Red Sox and Patriots and drinks Dunkin Dounts coffee with alarming frequency. He will never fully recover from the 2003 Red Sox or The 2007 Patriots and no he doesn't want to talk about it.
